    It was a cool evening on arrival into Chilapoly along long winding dirt tracks. Many signs tempted our adventurous souls to explore caves nearby but time was pressing. The sunset was beautiful and many slender cows revealed themselves in the dusk light. The rumble of the bumps and stones tickled our fancy of a new and mysterious place. We pulled into the quant town at the edge of reachable habitation in northern Queensland and quickly went in search of accommodation at a local tavern. Twinkling lights on the so called 'Hotel Motel' lured us in. A beautiful intelligent and bloody hilarious pommy girl greeted us and long story short we stayed in a pub.

    Go say G'day to Ray at the Chillagoe Hotel, asolutely love his setup he has great food good atmosphere and just a sensational "outback pub" in the middle of nowhere!
